So this happened in 2012.
Yeah, you know, Barry likes to come over now and then, and we play action figures together. Of course HE always has to be Super-O. Very very proud this man is our president.
My date, by the way, would be my incredibly, supremely, awesomely awesome mom, who ought to have an action figure of her own.

Bill Paterson who plays Professor Edwin Bracewell on the VICTORY OF THE DALEKS episode of DR WHO (which also features Matt Smith’s Eleventh Doctor and Karen Gillian’s Amy Pond) chats about his 40 year acting career and mentions appearing on DR WHO and having his own action figure as a high point:
Bill enjoyed the experience and was left with a souvenir: “Doctor Who was great fun and one of the things I love the most was the fact that it led to my first-ever action figure.
“They made a £7.99, five-inch model of my character and, because I am not some bug-eyed monster, it is very recognisable as me, this 40s wartime boffin, and it just looks like me in a white coat.
“I got sent a half dozen of them and gave some away but kept a few in the hope that someday it might be my pension fund on eBay.”

Rob Paulsen, voice actor extraordinaire (and @yakkopinky on Twitter), hoists a DONATELLO action figure (the character he voices in TMNT mach II) while promoting Nickelodeon’s reboot of the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES animated series.
He had previously voiced the hot-headed Raphael (“SHREDDER, YOU TIN-FACED GEEK!”) in the 1987 iteration of the cartoon.
I love love LOVE TMNT. I own first printings of the black-and-white Eastman/Laird comic from the 80s. My spirit animal is Michelangelo and indeed, I have that action figure from back in the day. Sadly, fans HATE Michelangelo for some reason. Wow, dudes, chill out.

In keeping with remembering FIREFLY, I found this image.

Adam Baldwin, who plays JAYNE in the TV series FIREFLY, at a recent convention has his pinky finger don a Jayne action figure head (no body, just the head) who in turn sports quite the cunning hat.
I’m a knitter so I know that little knit hat was made with the tiniest of needles. Someone finished it with lots of love & effort. Nice job, Jayne’s mom-by-proxy!

Matt Smith (Eleventh Doctor) and Karen Gillan (Amy Pond) pose with their action figures to promote the release of their 12 inch action figures.
Big Chief Studios out of the UK announced earlier this year the release of these 1:6 scale toys of the Eleventh Doctor & Amy Pond characters from the DOCTOR WHO television series.
They come PACKED with great accessories & many points of articulation.
There are also limited edition “signature” versions of these two models, signed by the actors who play them.
